Durham Professional Services is delighted to be working with our major client in Glasgow to recruit a Web Developer to join them on a permanent basis. This role is based within our client’s Digital Experience CoE with specific responsibility for develop, maintain and optimise responsive websites and campaign microsites based on bespoke React required to meet the development needs of the client.
The Web Developer will work across IT and the business to gather requirements, look for opportunity and deliver, test and document service improvements across the client’s web platform.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:-
- Provide expert technical knowledge from a predefined IT strategic direction for the translation of requirements into the development of build components and bespoke applications for responsive websites and campaign microsites.
- Develop web deliverables using appropriate technology e.g. JavaScript, ReactJs, VueJs, Angular, Docker and Git, to support identified business needs
- Work with IT and business colleagues to deliver web requirements in project and business as usual settings
- Develop and manage web standards and governance in line with industry best practice and regulatory, commercial, and security needs
- Develop and manage logical web artefacts
- Act as a web management specialist and advocate for IT across the organisation
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the data analysis practice
To successfully perform this role it is expected that candidates will:-
- Proficient knowledge of JavaScript, ReactJs, VueJs, Angular, Docker and Git.
- Experience of performing peer design and code reviews to assure design integrity and solution quality.
- Experience of operating in a dev-ops environment, taking ownership for delivering supportable solutions which adhere to defined configuration management procedures.
- Experience of developing web standards and governance
- Experience of working with enterprise development toolsets
- Knowledge of AEM, React, JavaScript, TDD, BDD, data security, etc.
