A new requirement has arisen for our large Public Sector client based in Central Scotland. Working from home there will be a requirement to attend office in Glasgow or Edinburgh as required, as such commutable to and from these locations is required. No sponsorship will be provided for this role.
We are looking to recruit a Service Transition Analyst to provide end to end Service Transition expertise to a wide range of programmes / projects / maintenance releases, supporting stakeholders in verifying that service acceptance criteria meet business needs meet business needs and ensuring successful Service Transition into live service.
Role tasks involve:-
- Responsible for identification and management of Service Transition planning activities, ensuring inclusion in project plans.
- Responsible for coordinating, tracking and ensuring fulfilment of acceptance criteria through end-to-end service delivery.
- Ensuring maximum usage of internal tool sets (including Service Knowledge Management System (SKMS) to support successful delivery of services and support to customers.
- Implement ITIL to ensure transition activities follow best practice.
- Collaboration and coordination with delivery and support teams to ensure new, modified or retired service assets are recorded accurately in the CMDB.
Skills and Experience
- ISTQB Software Testing Foundation or have equivalent relevant experience.
- ITIL Foundation / Familiarisation with ITIL procedures.
- Possess a good knowledge of testing tools and familiarization with various methodologies and practices including Waterfall, V-model and Agile.
- Have experience in and/or knowledge of Service Transition function.
- Be able to operate IT packages at the appropriate level for the role (Microsoft Office), including Visio or have the ability to gain relevant IT skills quickly.
- Be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
